(iv)              A  thousand   dreamy   fancies   into   busy  being  start
(v)                A   thousand   recollections   weave   their   air -  threads   into   woof.

Ans :  (i) Humid   shadows  _   Shadows   that   are  wet  during   the   rainy   season.

(ii)  Starry   Sphers -   Area   covered   by  groups   of  stars 

(iii)  What   a   bliss -  A  great  joy  or   happiness .

(iv)  A  thousand  dreamy   fancies   into  busy  being  start  -  Lots  of  dream  fancies  occur   as  a   result   of  falling   of  the  rain.

(vi)              A  thousand   recollections  weave  their  air -  threads   into  woof -   Lots  of  memories   come   to  the  mind  when  it  rains.  The  memories   weave  a  weft  with  the  help   of  air  -  threads.

      2.       What   does   the  poet  like  to  do  when  it  rains ?

Ans :  When   it  rains   the  poet  like  to  lie   on  bed   and  listen   to  the  patter   of  the  rain   on  the  roof.  He   finds   joy   in  the   song  of  the   rain.

      3.        What  is  the   single   major  memory  that  comes  to  the  poet ?  Who   are  the  ‘ Darling   dreamors’  he  refers  to    dreamers  ?

Ans  :     The   memory   of  the   poet’s   mother   is  the   single   major   memory   that   comes   to  him .  Darling  dreamers   are   those   who   likes   to   dream   of  their   parents   like  the   poet.

       4.       Is   the  poet   now  a  child  ?  Is  his  mother  still  alive ?

Ans  :  No,  the  poet   is  not   a   child   now .  He  is  grown  up .  No ,  his   mother   is  not   still  alive.  But   he  remembers  his  mother.

   II.1. When   you   were   a  young  child,  did  your   mother  tuck  you  in  as   the  poet’s  did?

     Ans : Yes,  Like  the  poet’s  mother ,my   mother   too,  used  to  tuck  me  in  when   I  was   a  young    child.  As  soon  as  she    saw  that   I   could  not  help  myself ,  she  came  up  with   her   loving  touch   in  my  aid.

  2.  Do   you  like   rain  ?  What  do  you   do  when  it  rains  steadily  or  heavily   as  described   in  the  poem ?

   ANS :  Yes,  I  like   rain  very  much .  When  it  rains  heavily   I  want   to  enjoy  by  getting  wet   in rain  but  my  parents   do  not  allow  me   do  so.  But  I  don’t  miss  if  I  get  a  chance.

  3.  Does   everybody   have   a   cosy  bed  to   lie   in  when   it  rains?  Look  around   you  and  describe    how  different   kinds  of   people  or  animals   spend   time,  seek  shelter   etc .  During  rain.

   Ans :  No,  everyone  does  not  have  a  cosy   bed   to  lie  in  when   it  rains.

                           Many   people   and   animals   are  often   caught   in  rain.  Some  enjoy  rain   by  getting   drenched . But   many   seek   a  cover .  People   get  inside   till  it  rains.  Animals   too.  Take  shelter  under  trees   or  get  to   their  homes.
