Because Abdul Kalam
looked at the
headlines of it.

Ans : Ramananda
Shastry, Arabindan and Sivaprakasan
were Kalam’s school
friends. Later Ramananda became
the priest of
the Rameswaram temple,
Aravindan went into
transport business and
Sivapraakasan became a
catering contractor for
Southern Railways.

and self – discipline from
his father and
and faith in goodness
and deep kindness
from his mother.

can easily be identified from
their dress. Hindus wear

Still they shared

without disturbing their
rituals. The author’s mother
and grandmother used

Hindu friends . their
family arranged boat
for Shri Sita Rama
Kalyanam ceremony every
year.

the difference. Subramania

wife allow Kalam
in the Kitchen
tactfully . he invited
Kalam again and
the teacher’s wife
served him .
